Snowman Holiday Hat Tutorial with Video Tutorial

I started to show how to assembled the Snowman Holiday Hat on the above episode, but I didn't finish it on air. So I thought I better come back to my blog and show you how it turned out. You'll have to tell me what you think!! 

Supplies Needed: 

Vinyl Record (full size)

Holiday picks and Assorted Embellishments

Hot Glue Gun

Black Belt

#10 Can (spray painted black)

Wide 3-4" Ribbon

Step 1: Hot glue the painted #10 can to your record. Don't stress too much about making it pretty the wide ribbon you'll be using should cover that up.

Step 2: Add the wide ribbon to your can. Then wrap your belt around the can as shown in image below. I had to use my crop-a-dile told to punch additional holes in my belt so it would fit around my can. Then I hot glued the belt in place because I couldn't get a snug fit.

Step 3: Then hot clue the various embellishments to the brim of the hat. I pulled apart my holiday picks to create a fun grouping on both sides of the buckle. 

Step 4: This of course was optional since not everyone will be able to find this awesome rosette ribbon from Making Memories like I did. However, I debated for days of what to do in the center of it and then I pulled out my big jar of buttons and hot glued clusters of fun buttons to the center. Has to be my favorite part of the snowman's hat.

Additional Note: The darling little glitter candle actually lights up. I picked up a two-page at Hobby Lobby. I did not glue it in place since the on and off switch is on the bottom, but it flickers when it's turned on and the perfect finishing touch!
